(This pattern fits 17" - 18" dolls like American Girl doll, Baby born (Zapf), Hannah (Götz) and Alexander doll)

The dress has short sleeves ... ... and it is buttoned at the back. Around the edges I have crocheted white edges to lighten it up a little.

I think these edges fit this dress absolutely. Your doll will look great!

Dress
Pattern:
(Knitting in the round)
1st row: p1, * k5, p2* alternatively across row end row P1
2nd row: P1, *k2, slip 1 sts, k2, p2* Repeat from * to *, end row P1.
Repeat these 2 rows.
Knitting back and front from the RS)
1st row:  P1,*k2, slip 1 sts, k2*, repeat from * to *, end row k1.
2nd row: K1, *p5, k2*. Repeat from * to *. End row k1.
Repeat these 2 row.
Cast on 140 sts in blue and knit 3 rows ga. Continue knitting in the round and knit pattern until work measures 12 cm for Baby born (14 cm for American Girl doll) before casting off for the armholes like this: Begin at first side: Cast off 3 sts, k64, cast off 6 sts, k64, cast off 3 sts. Continue knitting back and front separately.
Front: Knit 5 rows pattern altog and at the same time decrease 1 sts at each side every second row twice. Continue knitting st st and decrease every 3rd sts across row = 40 sts on row. Knit st st until work measures ...

The pants are knitted in blue ...

... and kept up with a blue chord bound around the waist.

Pants
1st leg:
Cast on 40 sts in white and knit 1 row. Change to blue and knit 4 rows ga, 2 rows st st. On next row increase 1 sts in every 4th sts = 50 sts in total. Continue knitting 5 rows st st inside 2 sts at each side knitted in ga. Put work aside and knit the other leg in the same way.
Knit both legs onto 4 double pointed ndls or a circular ndl and continue knitting 3 rows st st over all sts. Place a marker at center back and center front. Begin row from center back and do the following decreases: K1, k2tog, knit until 3 sts ...

The jacket has a flower pattern around the edge. Around the waist, I have knitted 2 rows with eyelets and made 2 chords to thread through these eyelets. 1 cord in orange and 1 chord in white will make it a little different. The cuffs around the arms is buttoned with white pearl buttons.

Along the front band the jacket has 4 orange flower buttons.

Jacket
Cast on 137 sts in blue and knit 3 rows ga. Continue knitting 2 rows st st inside 6 sts at each side knitted in ga =edge sts/ front band. Continue knitting pattern (See diagram) inside edge sts. Edge sts are knitted in blue along the front of the jacket. When work measures 4 cm knit the 1st buttonhole like this: K2, k2tog, yon. (Repeat buttonholes every 3.5 cm) Continue knitting st st, edge sts and buttonholes until work measures 9 cm. On next row knit a row of eyelets inside edge sts. Knit like this: k2tog, yon alternatively across the row. Continue knitting 3 rows st st and edge sts and repeat knitting a new row of eyelets inside edge sts. Continue knitting 3 rows st st and edge sts before casting off for the armholes like this: Knit 34 sts, cast off 6 sts, k56, cast off 6 sts, k34.
Continue knitting front and back separately.
Right side front: Continue knitting st st and edge sts and at the same time decrease 1 sts along the sleeve every second row 5 times altog = 29 sts on row. Continue knitting st st and edge sts until work measures 17.5 cm before casting off for the neckline like this: Begin from the WS. Cast off 12,5,1,1 sts every second row and put shoulder sts onto a cable ndl.
Back: Continue knitting st st over all ....

This jacket looks lovely to wear when the weather is a little chilly.

The cap has the same pattern ... ... around the edge ... ... as the jacket has.
