Looking forward to Springtime I would like to knit a beautiful dress for my doll.  I had seen a lovely little pattern in an old knitting book for babies from the middle of last century, and looking at this pattern ...

 ... I thought it might be great for my next doll dress.

I had some nice soft wool yarn here in lilac and decided to use this for Lotto’s new dress.  I also had some left over yarn in pink and liked ...

 ... these colors together. Therefore, I decided to use these colors.

The dress is buttoned along the frontband.  I choose pink buttons as I use pink in the accessories. The dress has two pockets at the front as well.  I knitted the pockets in this pattern.  I also used the pattern for ...

 ... the yoke and the sleeve edges. (A small and beautiful pattern)

I liked my doll, Lotta, very much when I dressed her in this new dress.

A nice hat knitted in lilac with pink stripes was very nice together with this dress.  I knitted a little band in garter stitch and formed it like a bow before I sewed to the top of the hat.

Together with pants and socks in stripes my doll Lotta had a lovely garment to wear during lovely spring days.
